West Coast Race Day

Melkbos Beachfront, Beach Road – 31 August 2019

Come join West Coast Athletic Club for our annual race day. With an earlier date on the calendar in August, just as the crisp freshness of spring is breaking in a new season of road running, this year we’re making the event bigger and more exciting than ever.

  • 2019 introduces a new 10km route for the first time, by popular demand, and we hope it will be as popular as the demand.
  • This year we are also proudly sponsoring SANCCOB and the NSRI, and we are introducing a new medal series depicting our unique coastal bird life, each year going forward the medals will feature a different bird.
  • A new more exciting finish area right on the Melkbos beachfront makes it one of the most scenic race finishes on the running calendar, the brave can carry on running into the ocean to cool off after a hard run.
  • The route is flat, fast and exciting, the perfect race to achieve personal best times, or enjoy an easy social trot with friends.

Please note this is a RUN CLEAN race! There will be plenty of bins available! This race is taking place in an environmentally sensitive area, littering will not be tolerated! Please respect the environment and the residents of the area who are hosting the race and DO NOT LITTER!
