After 3 long years West Coast Athletic Club was finally able to host an annual awards evening, which we doubled up as our clubs 35th Anniversary.
The event was spectacularly organized, presented and hosted by Tammy Wood, assisted by Jacqui Giles and their amazing team. Attended by over 120 club members, past and present, their partners and a few club friends, everybody enjoyed a glamorous evening of celebrating our club and its members, most dressed up with great effort in the 1920’s theme of the evening in fantastic outfits!
The evening was opened by longstanding member and former club Chairman David Johnston with some fascinating and funny history of the club and it’s flamboyant members, followed by a tributary moment of silence for deceased former members.
Current Chairman and MC David Wilcock made no effort in holding back his usual comical remarks as he and Tammy presented the awards, assisted in part by longstanding member Peter Donald, to those recipients who were present, as the photographer captured their moments with the actual trophies before they had to hand the real deal back and head off proudly with their own custom keepsakes.
Thank you to Tammy and her team for a fabulous evening, to the club committee for keeping the club going through these challenging times, and to all the loyal club members who supported the club through membership renewals, and especially those who attended the event.
