Registration, Start Times and More
Dear Runner,
It’s race week and we’re so excited to be sharing race day with you! We’re even more thankful for the incredible support we’ve had from you, the running community. Thank you for joining (some of you for the second year in a row) our event! The Blouberg Marathon crew, as part of West Coast AC, is hard at work to ensure you have the best day out on Sunday.
We are OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT!
There will be no further substitutions and no entries will be available at registration or on race day.
Get ready for Sunday!
As you can imagine, with 3600 runners joining across the 3 distances, there’s quite a lot of logistics and information we need to share with you.
Please take your time and read through all the details carefully.
Meet Bruce Fordyce at Registration and Collect Your T-shirt.
Make sure to register on 25 or 26 August to avoid the queues on Sunday.
Even better, you will be able to meet Comrade’s Legend, Bruce Fordyce, get an autograph and even purchase his bestseller.
- Friday, 25 August from 13h00 – 18h00 at Sportsman’s Warehouse Rondebosch
- Saturday 26 August from 10h00 – 14h00 at Table Bay Mall (Food Court near Mugg & Bean)
Why not make a morning of it at Table Bay Mall where you can shop to your heart’s content or enjoy a delicious cake and coffee or leisurely breakfast or lunch. The mall has a wide range of restaurants and shops, and you’ll enjoy the light, spacious and vibrant atmosphere. There’s also a weekly market on Saturdays with biltong, charcuterie, fresh produce and local crafts. Many thanks to centre management and tenants for supporting our Blouberg Marathon.
Because of the high number of entries, we urge you to register ahead of race day! There will be VERY limited registration on Sunday prior to the races, at Table Bay Mall from 5am.
You can register on behalf of others. Please make sure that they are aware that you register on their behalf, and you have a list of names (name used at Entry Ninja for registration).
At registration you’ll receive:
- Race bib
- Temporary license (if applicable)
- Blouberg Marathon T-shirt (if applicable)
- Parking ticket for race day (to be paid cash or Zapper – R20 per ticket)
Parking tickets
Table Bay Mall has offered a flat rate of R20 for all runners for a full day parking ticket. Please ensure you purchase your ticket at registration. This ticket can be used after your race when exiting the parking area. This ticket replaces the ticket that you collect at the boom. If you don’t have a ticket (the booms will be open on Sunday between 5-7am), you risk paying a ‘lost ticket’ fee so remember to buy your parking ticket at registration. Bring R20 in cash or ensure you have Zapper loaded to purchase.
27 August: Blouberg Marathon 42.2km | 21.1km | 10km
As a reminder: this is a “clean race”. No littering will be tolerated, and you risk a fine if you litter. Keep our Blouberg beachfront, reserve, and neighbourhood beautiful.
Important to know – arrive early!
- Parking open from 04h00am
- Registration from 05h00am – 06h00am
- Coffee shops will be open for your last fix!
- Tog bag facilities are available

We do not want anyone left behind, so please be conscious of time.

Many of the food establishments at both Table Bay Mall and Eden on the Bay will be offering specials and discount meals.
Please support our local businesses and spend time with friends and club buddies and celebrate your race before returning home.
Please note: Unfortunately NO CLUB GAZEBOS are allowed at the finish.
Arrive early on race day and take advantage of the secure parking facilities.
Parking at Table Bay Mall, Berkshire Boulevard in Sunningdale, will be open from 4h00am. You will not need your parking ticket to enter, but you will need it to leave. We suggest that you carpool to save costs and help reduce road congestion. Please follow the directions from the marshals to help keep traffic flowing. The booms are open from 5am-7am which is why it’s important you buy a parking ticket on registration. Coffee shops in the Table Bay Mall will be open early for our runners to serve your favourite brew!
NOTE:
1. Strictly no parking in disability, mom’s and tots, loading and pensioners parking spots.
2. No parking in the road as this will cause congestion and put you at the risk of a traffic fine
3. No parking at Eden on the Bay (finish area) as this is demarcated for officials and residents or the nearby Seaside Village.
There are 2 ways to approach the Table Bay Mall from the south/east: via the R27, or through Sunningdale via Sunningdale Drive or Wood Drive.
PLEASE FOLLOW TRAFFIC MARSHAL INSTRUCTIONS TO ALLEVIATE CONGESTION!
Road closure: the road between the R27 and Eden on the Bay will be closed from 7am to 9am.
